fifth day into CNY
boring new year this year for me..
reunion dinnerwas down with slight fever that day
mum made herbal tea for me and forced me to drink 2 big glasses of it!
dinner was good
reunion dinner day is my favourite in the whole CNY period
simply loved the fact that family sit together to eat and gossip
headed out with sisters bro-in-laws and mum after that
out to many places and countdown
home only at 3am
headed to bed straight
day1first day of CNY was a total bore
due to some family restrictions imposed on us
noone was allowed to be at grandma's place on the first day to 'pai nian'
so mum dad and i stayed home
waited for sisters and family to come over
mum cooked lunch for us that made me happy
it seemed like we can only taste mummy's cooking on CNY
after lunch, sisters and bro-in-laws started a table of mahjong
while i stayed in my room reading and thinking
out for dinner in the evening, scrumptious one i must say
crabs prawns fish chicken and blah blah
after dinner, headed to loyang 'tua pek gong'
mum dad sisters wanted to pray
after that they headed home while i stayed out alone
home only at bout 1am
day2sis gave me a morning call at 8.30am
while i am still soundly asleep
asking me to get ready so i can join them for breakfast!
met third sis and family at around 10am
and headed to maxwell market to meet second sis and bro-in-law
had simple hawker fare =)
left at around 11 plus and headed to grandma's place
day 2 of CNY was equivalent to day 1 for us
we headed to grandma's place to 'pai nian'
aunty, uncles, cousins get together at the same place
more than 40 of us at grandma's place at the same time excluding outsiders
it was crowded and packed
cousina started blackjack while uncles started mahjong
left grandma's place at abt 10pm for home
got home showered and off to meet sis and bro-in-law again
for a mignight movie and marina
home only at 3am
day3sis called to wake me up once again early in the morning
to remind me of the 'dim sum' session we were having
met them at 11am
and sis actually forgot about the reservation at the restaurant
so we were hunting for a place to eat
and uncle brought us to an old traditional reatuarant
where he was a regular there on every sundays
no reservation was made, the place was packed
manager gave us a table on accord of uncle!
how nice!
headed shopping after that and off to buddy's place in the afternoon
when i reached, clique was already there and they started mahjong
faiz zijing kellyn xx and bernard came after me
had fun playing cards, gossiping and eating =)
played indian poker in the evening, forfeit was vodka
helped buddy finish her bottle of absolut!
after that we chatted and was deciding where to go
wanted a movie but seats were bad!
family ktv was fully booked too
so it was left with pubs and yes, we decided on eski bar
left buddy's place at 10pm
bus-ed down to holland v, eski bar
it was a damn cool and nice place!
the 'freezer room' was soooo cold!!
faiz and i went out for a walk and many things were being shared
love it when i get to see her or buddy, they are always there to listen!
we each ordered a drink, sat down to chill and took pictures!
this time round, noone was drunk! =)

home only at 1am
it feels good seeing all of them on such occasions
where we gossiped and bring back sec school memories =)
day4finally a peaceful morning where i get to sleep in
woke up only at 11am
got ready and met up with sisters and bro-in-laws
lunched and headed to cousin's place, kovan melody
for another gathering
it was great to see cousins, nieces, and everyone again
as usual, gambling was inevitable
while i stationed myself on the comfy sofa and read my book
'sisters' by danielle steel!
i love her books, she is the other author i like next to nicholas sparks
i am almost done with the book! =)
left cousin place at about 10pm
headed home and the clumpsy me fell down and sprained my ankle!
day5finally, the last part of my post
fifth day of CNY
everything seemed to be back to normal
people starting work and all
mum brought me to the chinese physician for my sprained ankle!
11th today.. another week to the start of exam and i have yet to study!
gc family gathering for yixia's bdae tmr
dad's bdae dinner and overseas interview on wed
so busy!
hope i will have time to do my revision!
