hellos!
its been quite some time i last updated!
been pretty busy with various stuff!
just a short update abput ytd and today
it was back to work ytd
and it marked the second year i am with GV
joined GV on the 31st aug two years back
time flies huh!
it was a different working experience ytd
that really set me panicking and lost for the first time at work
schdeuled work was at box office from 0940 to 1440
when i reached office at ard 0947
imax and wq saw me and imax went 'i have a bad news for you'
and yes the bad news was this : 'today you work upstairs'
for that moment, i thought she was referring to me gg to europa/floor
but it ended up to be
GOLD CLASS!its been dunno how many donkey months i last worked in GC
my reply was 'dont play la' and well she wasnt playing
what worst was no gc uniform with me, so i went up in trad uni!
it was the worst thing ever to be the only one up there working in trad uni!
gc roster was a flop
bar person supposed to come at 0930 but didnt turn up (so i had to stand in for him)
host start work only at 10am
and first server of the day comes in only at 10.30am where thats the time the first show starts
i have never encounter such thing before
jiaming was the host of the day
and yes, i went up to gc first while he was preparing for work
headed up to gc and i literally stood in the bar for like 10mins
pacing around, trying to compose myself
what shocked me was a patron with 2 kids came in at 10am!
i was stunned cos noone was in gc yet and i am not ready!
but well i went up hosted them, sat them down and gave them the menus
bet he must be thinking what on earth is this girl doing here, is she a gc staff?!
jiaming came got ready and i ask him to take their orders
mine first bar order of the day, and yes it came with hot drinks!
its been so long i last operated that coffee machine and to be frank..
i wasnt officially trained in bar thou i did bar before!
after that, did the opening stock count
and crowd started to come in
servers finally came in - cynthia and meiyun
nice girls to work with
and followed by hisham at 11am
all the sessions were full house
pilling orders and payments to be settled
with just 5 staff to run the shift till 3plus when aisyah came in for bar
it was really short handed
and yes
kitchen staff must be thinking why on earth i am up there
but chef chris came and talked to me thou
but when A came in, kitchen was like a market place
he was like ranting in the kitchen and kept standing near the bar
like a spy!
super irritating la!
eos staff was only like with aisyah naz and andy cos taazmin was on mc
but heard that andy wasnt turning up for work
i have once again never encounter such situations
gc eos with only 2 staff?! esp on a sunday night!!! like WTH?
what a good day to commerate my second year in gv
but i was glad i picked myself up when the first order came
and everything went well
all orders were done up, no screw ups
but it was also thanks to those staff on shift
they helped me along whenever i asked an question =)
going up there to stand in for half a day made me realised the great change in gc
what has this become? really, one word to describe how i felt - disappointed
the high standards set previously seemed to be gone
after work
waited for sis to pick me up
and we all headed to kampong glam cc for another badminton session
good game w the bro-in-laws
and nice game when all 4 sisters get to play a match together! =)
there will be more to come!!
today is teachers' day!
so the girls had no school!
and yes, mr piggy and i planned last week to bring the girls out today
mr piggy came and meet me at abt 10.30am
we went for a simple breakfast =)
and fetched the girls from their house
headed to plaza for 'space chimps'
pretty nice movie for kids!
after that, shopped around plaza and then we cabbed down to anchorpoint
headed to the disney cafe for lunch
was very excited at first and was bugging mr piggy to bring me there
but after the lunch there today
i dont think it was that great after all
nothing special
and food isnt that nice!
but we all had a good fun today
mr piggy was like telling me he felt very 'fatherly' like today!
haha
nice big brother to the girls
you should see how sweet he was while taking care and talking to them! =)
after that headed back to sis place
and mr piggy stayed for a while
once again, clicked well with the girls and he played piano with veritas!
fun time again!
