updates!
29th oct - wednesday
had our very first poly field trip for NE!
destination was to Singapore Discovery Centre!
it was a boring one but being able to be the class, its good!
buses were being charterd to send us there
a long journey from school to SDC!
^the ladies! before setting off from NYP!
and after the long journey..
we reached! =)
was asked to gather at some auditorium
and we were asked to play some X-Race game
some sort of a amazing race thing in groups of 5 or 6
so just nice our class have gt 16 ppl..
so three groups!
10 questions to be answered in total
and of course we displayed some class spirit!
each group to do 3 questions and we will do the last one tgt!
so we set off and in the midst of it, we called and exchanged answers!
so with that..
we came in first!
way before other groups/classes! =)
after that was a tea break for us
and that means - pictures time!
this is what girls will do in the toilet apart the normal routine! =)
and we spotted some HSM3 standees!
so took picture with them as well!
and lastly, our norm..

and naughty mr kel bullied me! =(
after tea break was a bus tour around SAFTI MI
boring one but something that we get to see when public doesnt!
so it was pretty cool!
and that ended the whole field trip!
30th oct - thursday
alrite.. woke up super early today!
cos i have to attend the MOE/NIE teaching position appt brefing!
and i'm proud of myself i managed to make my way to MOE building without cabbing! =)
breifing was pretty the usual kind
telling us the DOs and DON'Ts
handed us with the various documents and blah blah
then had to go for an one-to-one session
whereby the individual advisors (moe staff) will talk to us abt our appointment
and ask if we are accepting it!
okie
and yes, i signed the appointment letter and handed to the advisor
next up will be:
1) full body medical checkup on the 18th nov at RMG
2) a photoshoot for our PS card at CISCO
with these, i am once again.. happy to say that..
I'M ANOTHER STEP NEARER TO WHAT I ALWAYS WANTED TO BE - TEACHER!
its still pretty unbelievable to me
it just happened too fast..
from the application to the interview to being appointed and to the briefing today!
i am glad all these good things are happening! =)
after that, headed to school
to meet my fellow group members for project meeting!
i am the only girl in my group and the guys are really... funny!
the things they say and do are not very normal! haha
then lunched at koufu
and i saw darling there too!
he came over and talked to me for a while
and we headed for our only lesson for today!
its molecular biology today!
and yes practical day too! =)
lecture was pretty easy to comprehend
practical was even easier!
we did extraction of DNA and yes..
DNA of STRAWBERRY! haha
had a very interesting activity before lecture starts
and its none other than ORIGAMI!
we had to do up a DNA ORIGAMI with the paper provided by teacher!
its tough but interesting!
this was how my DNA strand looked after the completion of Step 1!
but this is not the end!
more to come!
and after much folds here and there..
my double helix DNA structure was out!
teacher said mine was pretty! haha
and now the practical!
extraction of DNA!
nothing complicated.. =)
and yes i teamed up with brandon to do it!
brandon smashed the strawberry with SDS in it!
he used so much force that the ziploc bag tore a little!!
afterwhich, we had to filter out the substance and obtain just the DNA
DNA appeared to be slimy, sticky and translucent!
thats something you can learn! =)
met up with darling
took train tgt.. he headed for work and i headed home!
okie
just completed my comm skill ppt slides!
cos there is a presentation tmr!
week 3 of school is coming to an end!
so fast la!
and i can feel the stress coming when the work load is pilling up!
